Leg-em complies with the nFADP (new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since 1 September 2023) and the European Union GDPR.

Data collected (free search engine)

On find.leg-em.com in anonymous mode, we collect:

• Nginx logs: IP address, user-agent, requested URL, HTTP code, date — kept for 14 days for abuse detection.
• No tracking cookies. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party tracker.
• If we enable analytics, we will use Plausible (open-source, cookie-free, GDPR-compliant).

Data collected (Premium account — coming soon)

When you create a Premium account, we will collect:

• E-mail address (login identifier).
• Payment data processed by Stripe (we do not store your card numbers).
• Search history and favourites, kept while your account is active.

You can export your data and request deletion at any time.

Data NOT collected

• No precise geolocation.
• No advertising profiling.
• No sharing with third parties for commercial purposes.
• No use of your queries to train a third-party AI model.

Hosting

The service is hosted in France with OVH (Strasbourg). No data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland.

Legal data

Indexed legal texts come from Fedlex (Swiss Confederation, CC-BY 4.0) and OpenCaseLaw. These sources are public in nature; we republish them with attribution.

• Right to portability: export your data in an open format.
