Leg-em is a search engine dedicated to Swiss law: consolidated federal law, Federal Supreme Court case law and cantonal legislation of the 26 cantons.
Our principle: facts, not opinions
Leg-em provides no legal advice. We do not interpret the law, we do not give counsel. Our role is to give you fast, precise access to the official texts you are looking for — with verifiable source and date of application.
For any concrete application question, consult a jurist or a lawyer registered with a Swiss cantonal bar.

Data sources
- Fedlex SPARQL — Fedlex SPARQL — official Confederation database, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
- OpenCaseLaw / LexFind — OpenCaseLaw / LexFind — Federal Supreme Court case law and cantonal legislation.
- Daily automatic update from these sources.
How it works
Three complementary search modes:
- BM25 — BM25 (keywords) — fast, deterministic, classic. Ideal for an article reference.
- Natural language (semantic) — Semantic — understands meaning. Ideal for a question in natural language.
- Hybrid (recommended) — Hybrid — combines both via Reciprocal Rank Fusion. This is the default mode.
Plans
- Search engine (free) — Free — unlimited search in the entire indexed corpus. You are here.
- Premium — Premium (coming soon) — AI analysis of an act, version comparison, verified citations, change alerts, PDF/Word export. For jurists, lawyers, law students.
- Pro monitoring — Pro monitoring on app.leg-em.com — B2B product for QHSE / RJC / EduQua managers. Curated by our experts since 1998.
